LAKE GARDA AND THE NEIGHBORING AREAS ARE FULL OF VERY INTERESTING NATURALISTIC PATHS WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS OF DIFFICULTY

I WILL PRESENT YOU MY FAVORITE ITINERARIES AT LAKE GARDA!

THE FIRST ITINERARY: THE BUSATTE-TEMPESTA NATURE TRAIL!

READY TO GO FOR A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE?

The Busatte-Tempesta forest nature trail is an integral part of the fire prevention system created by the Forestry and Fauna Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento on the western slope of Monte Altissimo of Nago.

This advanced complex of works aims to safeguard the great natural heritage of this area from fire and to limit the damage caused by any fires as much as possible.

Created for this purpose, the path has also been equipped to allow pleasant excursions in an area of great naturalistic interest in which geological phenomena and climate have shaped harsh and severe landscapes, however refined by the Mediterranean-type vegetation that offers shelter to numerous animal species.

The Busatte-Tempesta forest nature trail is an easy-to-follow itinerary with a wonderful panoramic view of the upper Lake Garda.

Along the way there are three iron stairways leaning against the rock which make the journey very suggestive. There are 3 tiers: Salt de la Cavra 116 steps; corno de Bò 238 steps; val Calcarole 33 steps. This brings the sign back to the beginning of the route, but if you manage not to be distracted by the landscape, you can try to count them.

In total there are about 400 steps that develop at various points of the route.

Along the naturalistic route, there are various tables that explain the morphology, fauna and flora of this area of Lake Garda.

You can reach the starting point of the path by taking the Brenner motorway and exiting at Rovereto Sud.

Continue along the SS240 towards Nago-Torbole.

We recommend planning the excursion starting from Torbole and precisely from the Busatte Adventure Park, where you can park your car.

In this way the stairways will be traveled downhill and not uphill.

After about an hour and a half of walking you will reach Tempesta.

You can obviously follow the path also in the opposite direction starting from Tempesta towards Busatte, but in this case the 400 steps will be uphill.

The Busatte Tempesta panoramic trail is about 5 km long. (On the way back you can take a bus to Tempesta).

For those wishing to continue the itinerary, however, the length of the route including the round trip is about 11 km.

It takes 1 hour and a half each way (about three hours round trip with a normal pace).

There are no refreshment points, bars, restaurants along the way, so you need to bring water and food for the excursion.

At the beginning of the Busatte – Tempesta trail there is a well-stocked bar and restaurant.

You can walk with dogs if they are used to climbing steps.

Not suitable for very young children.

Half a day is required to do this excursion.

For example, it is ideal to take the Busatte Tempesta ring road (total about 10 km) and then stop for lunch or dinner at the Busatte Restaurant near the Park.

Walking in nature is an excellent way to visit new places, rediscovering the love for the landscape and the practice of walking, regaining possession of slow rhythms and keeping fit.

Depending on the route chosen, the length and the difference in height, the trek you face may require a different level of physical preparation.

The advice is to choose the itinerary based on your training and follow the advice of an expert guide. Each outing will thus mark a personal path and new goals and will be a source of well-being for the body and mind.

It is important to choose your equipment well: comfortable shoes and a backpack will be essential

Have a good hike!
